I need traps and I need to use slime balls for something else. I thought of slime blocks.
Slime blocks are crafted with all squares filled with slime balls. Slime blocks can be used for traps and decoration. If a mob or you touch a slime block, you will be stuck in that place. If you want to get out, either destroy slime blocks or sprint away from it. Mobs can't escape unless you destroy the block the slime block they are touching. This can be useful for trapping skeletons and zombies so you can collect their objects when they die.
Also, I thought of an idea if you put a slime ball in the middle and red stone dust surrounding it, it will create and red stone slime block. If something touches it, it will do the same as a normal slime block except it could send a red stone signal so you can put a dispenser near it or a piston which pushes it into lava.
I don't think this is overpowered because what are the odds of a mob touching a slime block? If you have 90 slime balls, you could make 9 which is still very little. While at the same time, it's not too underpowered because of resources. I think 1 or 2 is enough to catch a decent amount of mobs in a couple of nights.
Maybe, but really this idea seems a bit pointless, I understand that mobs stick to slime blocks but it still seems a bit pointless, and we have emerald blocks and green wool for decoration

It could be like a solid block that acts like cobweb, transparent and affected by gravity.
