I thought that instead of using a golden carrot, to have a bat drop something and use that instead. I know carrots help you see better, but bats can see in the dark better so a drop from them could be better.
Bats were added to the game to be nothing but ambient mobs. Adding a drop would take away from this. I'd say its better to just stick with what we have.
Not sure how well that would bide. Ever heard of the expression "blind as a bat"? There's a reason why people use that.
And as lokilover above me said, bats will likely remain as ambient mobs.
I think a potion made from a bat drop would sorta worsen your sight.. I'd say keep the old recipe because it makes more sense and it's the only use for golden carrots anyways..
Bats don't have night vision. In fact, their vision isn't really that great at all. They, like dolphins, use
ecolocation to avoid obstacles, hunt prey and find caves. In fact, almost all animals that live underground
have little to no eyesight at all.
Based on the responses, how about using Bat Wings to brew Potions of Blindness? They are already in the game, but they don't have a recipie yet.

"Strong Pokémon. Weak Pokémon. That is only the selfish perception of people. Truly skilled Trainers should try to win with the Pokémon they love best."

They aren't blind, no. But they don't use their eyes very often, if at all.

They just use sonar.

Bats can't see well at all - why do you think they use echolocation?
