Here are some ideas for some weird weapons.
(Btw this is my 100th post so I felt like making some pictures of crafting recipes)
Paper Winds: Put them like a chestplate and it'll let you glide for 5-10 seconds.
Paper Shuriken: Stack up to 16, throw them at Players/Mobs for a 1 out of 3 chance to do 1/2 of damage and it also does a little knock back.
Paper Fan: Has 120 uses, when right clicked it'll knock back Players/Mobs/items. It'll also blow away bats and Players with paper wings.
Ender Pearl Chain: When thrown at a mob it'll attack the mob to the chain, when thrown again it'll teleport the mob. When thrown the second time, it'll have very low range. (Max amount of blocks is about 10)
End Bomb: When activated by redstone it'll suck in any entity from 8 blocks away teleporting them to the void of the End.
(Sticky)Piston Gloves (Can be crafted with both regular and sticky pistons): When held in Slot Bar Right Click will extend and retract right arm and Left Click with do the same to left arm, extending and retracting is slow so it can be used rapidly. Punching will do 1/2 of damage. Sticky piston arms will allow you to climb walls. Gloves has 250 uses.
Potion Bomb: When right clicked you can fill the bomb with any kind of potion. When activated with redstone it'll make a blast as powerful as 2 TnTs and make a 50 radius blast that'll infect any Player/mob with the potion effect you put in it.
Post your opinions and suggestion about my idea below.
Some of them certainly are... interesting. Overall, these aren't that bad, but I do find a few of them mediocre and even senseless. The paper glide is alright. The paper weapons are really pointless. I'm not gonna make some flimsy paper weapons when swords and arrows do the job just fine. I don't see why a paper fan would do more knockback than a sword. I know Minecraft isn't supposed to be realistic, but paper fans are just... yeah.
The sticky piston arms are awkward, and climbing walls isn't needed when you can easily lift yourself by stacking blocks. What will teleporting mobs to The End give? I'd rather kill them and take what they drop rather than teleport them for no reason.

I came up with these ideas for interesting PvP battles.

But it should stay as a mod, not in vanilla.
(Also, I've made lots of paper shurikens before, and they don't hurt you at all IRL.)

I can't imagine many players wanting to fight with paper weapons...
