I feel like there needs to be some kind of guard villager with armor (randomized) and a weapon (also randomized) they would server the same function as an iron golem but they would not get stuck because they would be able to fit under the roof ledges of the buildings (because they would only be two blocks tall), they would be able to open doors for when the monster is closed inside a building, and they would be able to climb ladders for when a monster is on top of the church or on that one balcony building.
I think this would be very helpful because I can not tell you how many times I lost all the villagers in a town because the one iron golem was stuck on a house or because one zombie got behind the closed doors of my villager breeding building.

Edit 3: Perhaps the gaurd villagers need therre own building that could spawn anywhere on a map but it more likely to spawn near npc villages than not. Perhaps gaurd villagers could breed based on iron doors, or something like that.
Yeah, iron golems pretty much do nothing during zombie attacks. And it's lame how the villagers depend on just one golem to defend them. Usually, there isn't even an iron golem anyway.

this is seriusly important and guards must have life regeneration and they cant be easily killed by players

Maybe there could be barracks or defensive walls around the village too... Although we don't need to worry about villagers dying as the seems to be no more NPC Villages any more, but I think guards to is a very good idea

I support guard villagers, mainly because iron golems are usually used for iron farms, and they don't protect the village as much as they were intended. In my opinion, once a guard villager dies, one of the villagers (maybe a blacksmith or butcher would be selected over other villagers, because they seem tougher?) becomes a guard. They could also make sure you don't loot the village (only if they see you).

the issue with the iron golems is they get stuck to the point that the entire village gets killed off and they did nothing to help it.
