Now right upfront I want to say that this is more than an idea for Emerald tools however instead a use for emeralds and new experience methods.
Due to the previous updates, there are many ways to get experience and many more ways to spend it( or at least a large amount at a time
Fountain of Knowledge
First let's go over the crafting recipe. In each corner there would be an emerald. In the middle there would be a block of obsidian. The remaining four slots would be filled in with buckets of water.( After crafting you will get your buckets back). The fountain of knowledge would like like an obsidian block but with a lighter color. Green on the edges and have small streams of water running down each side Use: when within 3 blocks or less of an enchantment table it would give a new choice. In the upper right hand corner of the enchanting menu, there would be a box with an emerald icon. When clicked at the price ofone emerald it will put two things next to each of the enchanting choices. The first thing would be a digit: 1,2,3,4,5 etc. That number will tell you how many different enchantments the choice would have. The second thing would be in roman numerals telling you what the highest level enchantment is on that choice. I believe this would help take the frustration out of enchanting without making it too easy.
Pool of Greed
The Pool of Greed is more or less a loan method. It would craft exactly like the fountain of knowledge except replacing the water buckets with buckets of lava and the obsidian with netherbrick.
Use: The pool of greed would allow you to chose anywhere from 1 to 5 levels and it would give you the experience to do so. The downside is that whenever you get experience after that, you will not get it the Pool of Greed will. It could be used as a get levels quick method without being overly cheap. It would look like the fountain of knowledge expect with netherbrick where the obsidian would be and lava where the water would be.
I believe that both of these items would help with enchanting as well as adding more uses for emeralds.
1.) Don't use large text. If you are purposely trying to get people to not read your posts, large text is the way to go.
2.) Fountain of Knowledge. This just seems like a second enchantment table.
3.) A third enchanting table? The Pool of Greed seems like a cop-out, and this mock bank loan system doesn't seem very Minecraft-like. Trying to remember when you'll start getting experience for yourself after your "payment" is finished with this Pool of Greed seems like an unfun addition.
You get points for not suggesting emerald tools, but I'm not seeing any point at all in these two extra enchantment tables. Emeralds are already used for the beacon blocks anyway, so why bother programming in more emerald-to-magic stuff?

I definitely see where your coming from and the Pool of Greed does seem a bit unuseful but the fountain of knowledge would allow people to choose their enchantments without knowing what they are.
Can't we do that with the enchantment tables we have already?
What I meant was that the fountain of knowledge allows people to see how many different enchantments there are and what the highest level of enchantment is for that option..

sounds interesting, but its too much work for the comparatively little that it does. and it might make the enchanting table useless. no support for vanilla. but would be fun as a mod
