i thought about armor and got this idea.
armor is real useful, no need to say, but what if it could be even better in some ways?
so the idea of this concept is 1 thing.depeding on what armor you where there is a probability that the wearer doesn't get damaged, he flashes white instead of red and instead of getting heart damage you get durability damage, BUT only in rare occasions it happens (then what was armor made for on mediaval times?)
have you noticed th armor bar above the health bar??? (i hope you did) well finally that has a use!!
when getting damaged and you get "armor protected" (as i said before it is real rare) then dependng on the armor type it will decrease until when it doesn't have armor points anymore every hit on your armor causes 3 times reducted durability so it will break quicker. as an example. Leather armor dosn't give you full armor bar when you wear a full kit of leather... Well that means that it will get destroyed sooner. every 2 armor protected hits, the durability of leather armor will decrease of half armor point, now i willmake a list of all of them.
leather: every 2 protected hits half down
iron: every 5 protected hits down a half
gold: every 7 protected hits 1 armor point down (durability decreases 5 times quicker instead of 3 times quicker)
diamond: every 10 protected hits half down
new armor: heavy iron: made like any armor but with iron blocks: every 8 protected hits half down (durability decreases normally after armor points gone)
new armor: heavy diamond: made like any armor but with diamond blocks: every 14 protecetd hits half down (normal durability deacreasment after armor points gone)
special: when at 3 armor points left it will recharge, half every 20 seconds until its full (its f****** diamond blocks!!!)
the armor can also be enchanted with new enchantments:
extra durability: any armor will recharge when it arrives at 3 armor points (half pint every 20 seconds)
cost: level 30
undestoyable: haf armor point gets 3 more protected hits for every half
cost: level 25
alchemic armor: potion dont effect you ( exept damage potions level 2 and 3)
cost: level 30
unblowable: sometimes explosion damage doesn't hurt you nor armor
cost: level 25
witch craft: sometimes when something attacks you body-to-body that thing will get knocked backed (without the player wanting it) and will make a ssvvoosshh sound, the knocked back guy does not take damage from this.
you can also enchant the new armor with any existing enchantment.
oh and please please please please comment i just want to know what you think of this guys?!?!?
i hope you like the idea i think this is a good idea but if you dont like it dont insult me please. i had a bad experience once already.

praticly rarly when you get hit thers a chance that you dont even gat damaged but the armor gets damaged.
you know that armor bar on top of the health bar? well when you get a certain amount of protected hits (wich means you dont get damaged) then the armor bar goes down by half/1 armor point, when it reaches 0 armor points then your armor gets 2-3 times durability dercreasment when used.... i hope you do understand

So you want armor to loose it's defense value over time, like it used to in early beta?
Eh... I'd rather lose a little health than my armor. I think it breaking when it runs out of durability is enough. I can't say I miss armor wearing out as it's used.
no it doesn break when the armor points ar 0 thedurability decreases more quickly overtime.
and dont forget there are new enchantments an armor in my idea

The first part I don't like.I don't want my armor to lose its defense value like Prince_Deity said.
Heavy Iron and Heavy Diamond could be good.Maybe it would give you the Slowness potion effect when you are wearing it?
I don't want "Extra Durablity".
"Undestroyable",no.
"Alchemic armor" wouldn't be that useful.
"Unblowable" is already in the game.Its called "Blast Protection".
"Witchcraft",no.
oohh....................well then help me out?it doesnt loose its defence value anyway....it just gets less durable
