You know how we have all the achievements and a lot of them are really easy essentials and some should never be attempted? Also, you have to do them in a certain order. Great! But what if you want it different? Then there would be no makeshift tutorial that doesn't actually teach you anything!
Here's an idea. Why not make an achievement system based on achievements, and a tutorial that is a tutorial?
Us PC players need no hand-holding. If you honestly can't figure out how MInecraft works then play the Xbox version.

No, there has never, ever been a sandbox game with a story or ending... except Grand Theft Auto... and Saints Row... and Red Dead Redemption... and Crack Down... and Assassins Creed...
Before getting the PC version, I had no idea what Minecraft even was. After 10 minutes of playing,I knew everything I needed to survive. And the achivements are alright, though they have no real value except you can brag to your friends that you beat the Enderdragon. No Support
But yeah... I don't really see what the point of a tutorial in minecraft is, seeing as about half youtube's minecraft videos are tutorials, and searching "minecraft" in google is enough to get you started. Even minecraft.net has a short video on it.

To survive, get Torches, get Tools, get Shelter. You're good.
