The Wither compass is used for typing in a coordinate, and it will point to that spot. The compass has a 15 minute cooldown before being able to be used again.
It should be crafted with a compass, and a four Nether stars. The reason why it needs so much is because the Wither compass is a powerful item. When crafted, it will return a black compass with a white needle. Right clicking while holding it will open a GUI, with two slots, X, and Y. You can type in numbers for coordinates, and a "done," button will be below the two boxes. When you click done, the Wither compass will point into the directions of the coordinate. It has a fifteen minute cooldown, and right clicking will peform no action. You can tell it's progress by a damage bar at the bottom, which indicates the amount of time left, as it fills up. The Wither compass can be used in the Nether and the End.
The Wither clock is used for changing the time. The clock has a 30 minute cooldown before being able to be used again.
It should be crafted with a clock, and two Nether stars. It will return one Wither clock, which also has a GUI. It is black, instead of bright yellow. Right clicking while holding it will open a GUI, that has a giant clock image, and two arrows on each side. Clicking on an arrow and holding will cause the clock image to move in that direction. When you click done, the time will change to the time you have selected. It has a thirty minute cooldown, and right clicking will peform no action. Same as the compass, you can tell it's progress by a damage bar at the bottom, which indicates the amount of time left, as it fills up.
The compass seems kinda useless, because you can just use debug; the wither clock seems interesting, but I would suggest it taking a clock, one Wither Star, and some other valuable materials(diamond or emerald, or moss stone).

1/2 support. An in-game, legitimate, end-game way to advance time would be a godsend. Sometimes you just want it to be day time without going all the way home just to go to sleep -- conversely, sometimes you just want it to be night time already so you can test your lighting schematics, or fight some monsters and junk.

The compass seems completely useless.
The compass has a fifteen minute cooldown, and the clock has thirty minutes.
