Block dispenser - It's a dispenser, that fires blocks. The blocks do not get placed in front of the dispenser, but rather fire out of the dispenser like sand or gravel, or lit TNT. The fired block moves about 10 blocks forward, at a slight angle from the ground. Any TNT exploding will push the block increasing range. When the block lands it automatically places itself. It has the same GUI as a normal dispenser and will choose randomly from the 9 slots.
For those redstone cannon people, yes, the blocks do deal damage when they hit something.
Damage dealt on hit:
Soil (Dirt, sand, gravel)= Half Heart
Rock (Sandstone, cobble, smooth stone, stone brick and clay brick)= 1 and Half Heart
Refined Ore Block (Block of iron, gold, diamond, emerald, lapis)= 2 Hearts
TNT= Half Heart (It's not bloody lit!)
Non-solid blocks are not fired.
TNT will not be lit on firing, unless other TNT explodes and sets it off.
Explosions may launch blocks too. Yes, it would most likely be able to fire bedrock. It would do 'Stone' damage.

TNT cannons, and it could even be used for emergancy obsidian barricades.
I'll go make a recipe right now...
So it is a compact version of something be can already make. When would you need an obsidian barricade?
Protect against a mob: Nerd pole up, definitely quicker than placing one down, loading it and then firing it.
Protect against a player: They can mine around or under the barricade unless you're already living in an obsidian fortress.
Protection from yourself: Have fun mining down your obsidian barricade.
I'm sorry but I still really don't see what this would be used for.

Yes, but then again, you could call dispensers useless too in that matter.
I'm also pretty sure the community can think of something, hey, I make small suggestions.
Automatic building houses?
TNT cannons that fire bedrock extremely long distances?
It could be used as fun too.

Sounds good, but I think they should be a little bit more expensive.
Support.
What would they be crafted with then?

It places itself. I'll make that more clear.

I see uses for them.

In this scenario I'm defining novel use as whatever MrDiamond is considering when he says they can be used for fun too.
