Right now Bats in minecraft are "asthetic" mobs. They're just in caves and if you get close enough they fly away. They don't even attack you, they just fly away. But, I think to make things more challenging we can have two differant types of bats. The regular bats that are non-hostile. Then, we could have hostile Vampire bats!
Vampire Bats
The differance between the two would be that the Vampire bat would be black (the regular bat is brown) and it would be slightly bigger. Also whenever you get close to the Vampire Bat it'll start flying towards and starts attacking you. They will only spawn in areas considered as "caves" in light level 7 or lower. The bat would have 10 health points. On Easy mode it'll do 2 hearts of damage, on Normal Mode it'll do 2 hearts of damage, then finally on hard it'll do 4 hearts of damage. The effect the Vampire Bats have is that on every mode except for easy mode when they deal damage on you it'll add hearts to thier health. Like I said they have 10 health so when they deal damage to you it will add a heart. So then it becomes 11 and 12 and so on and so forth. It's recommended that you kill that very quickly. Ya you do have a point. Every mob doesnt need a hostile counterpart. But ehh i just though it would be a good idea
