I have a simple idea to sort-of go along with the addition of zombie armor/tools.
Below level, maybe 40, this type of mob could spawn. Now, it's not a new mob, just a zombie that is supposed to represent a dead miner/villager. It would carry an iron pickaxe, have a small chance to drop it and instead of being possible to drop carrots or potatoes, it would drop a mining related item.
Examples of drop rates:
Pickaxe: Standard shovel/sword drop rate
Coal: 40% drop rate
Iron ingot: 20% drop rate
Redstone (1-3 pieces): 15%
Gold ingot: 5% drop rate
Lapis piece: 2%
Diamond: 0.2% drop rate
Total support, and I love how you didn't make them actually mine and break blocks. That's what I was expecting to find in this thread, and it would ruin the underground.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
When will Minecraft stop updating? When pigs fly over the frozen plains of hell, twice in a blue moon, while Taylor Swift sings a song called, "Maybe I'm the Problem".

And obviously, they can just drop nothing.

Thank you... I hate those threads too
Yeah I was thinking about that too
