I think cauldrons should be able to hold lava buckets just as they can water. This way, you can use them as convenient trash cans that would be safer than the current designs. Does anyone else think this is a good idea?
I don't know how this would be added, as putting liquid into the Cauldron block does nothing except to change its data value.
(Water inside the cauldron does not do anything to the player - it doesn't even put you out when you're on fire.)
If lava-filled cauldron could burn items, then it would mean that the cauldron would give damage upon contact.
Then would it mean just touching the cauldron block would damage you?
(afaik, I don't think there's a way to set the boundaries of the area that gives damage within a certain block)
This is a good idea, but I'm open for any ways that this could be implemented.

They could probably find a way to code this. I support this idea, as it could be easily used to make trash cans, and would give cauldrons more uses, which is always good.
