Okay, I have an idea for Minecraft. It's a simple decoration block. Little stones that are the size of flowerpots that spawn in little clusters randomly. They'd add a bit more variety to the terrain, and putting four in the crafting table would give you one cobblestone. The stones themselves would be cobble as well, because how would smooth-stone get to the surface in broken bits, without getting all cracked?
When they spawn on map generation, they have a chance to be in the middle, or in any corner of the top of a grass/sand block, depending on the biome. I'll post a picture of how they'd look, with flowerpots representing the stones.
It'd be like that, except some would be in different places on the block they're on.
Please tell me what you think, if you can refine the idea, and whether it is actually a good idea.
EDIT: The point of this is just to add a bit of variety to the world.
Yes, the idea was to add more aesthetics, but I don't know what other uses they would have. I don't know what wooden tools have to do with it, but I guess that it would be break like grass, torches or flowers, as they're stones lying in the dirt, know what I mean? I don't know about them being less common, or more common. Maybe they could be twice as common as pumpkins?

They seem a bit to big to me, and they don't match the current stone color.
Making them like they are in Terrafirmacraft (the size of buttons) and making them match the color of normal stone would be good. When you four (or nine) of them in a square, you get cobblestone.
You use this cobblestone and sticks to make tools instead of bothering with wood tools. Let's be honest, nobody uses them unless they're doing a self imposed challenge.

Did something happen to you in your childhood to give you this unreasonable fear of rutabaga?
I said I used flowerpots to represent the stones. I imagine they'd have the cobblestone texture. I agree with the size, they should be half as tall in my opinion. It'd be nine to craft cobble, I reckon, because they're small.

Curse PremiumWould they need a pickaxe or hands. I'm guessing hands.
Wood tier of tools: USELESS.

That sounds pretty good, I like it! Maybe it could have charge, throwing it softly would give it one heart, throwing it hard would give two hearts.
