Hey, I just thought of a great Idea, in the recent snapshot, you can mix dyes to create new colors of armor. What if you could do this with wool! It would give a ton of options for structures and decors, and it would be great for pixel art! Tell me what you think!
What other colours would you have in mind? I mean, there are already SO many options to choose from I don't think we really need any more of them. Plus, what would you use? There aren't any other things I can think of that you could use to make the dye.

This pallet of colors is in the snapshot with the leather armor die, you can mix up to eight colors at a time! There are 16 dyes, you can mix 2, 3, 4, all the way to 8 dyes at a time, It would be a LOT, of dyes. And maybe they should either only keep the regular 16 wool in the creative inventory, or give it a hole new tab.
Millions of colours of armour I think already is wrong, it doesn't go with the whole 8 bit idea. 16 million colours of wool is just wroong, 16 is more than enough.
And Prince_Deity is right, it wouldn't work with stacking, because if you have wool that is just slightly a different colour, it will already fail to stack with other wool. Say you have for example half a stack of #FF0000 dyed wool and you break a wool block that's colour #FF0001, it will not stack, and you'd be left wondering why. Then you'll have to have a million chests, just to store all your wool.
Yeah, I guess you're right about the stacking thing, and maybe about the too many colors, too. But I think it would fit in with the update.
Actually, my reasoning is that currently, the colors us data values, so they are different items. If they used the color system that armor does, they would use damage values, and I'm pretty sure that would cause any type of wool to stack with each other, so you could be holding white wool, break blue wool, then when you pick it up, you now have two white wool.

That's true. Maybe same colors different system?
