I got an idea when the invisibility potions were added, When it is standing still it cannot be seen.When it comes after you it loses the invisibility, but has a medium agro radius so you don't have to run into it before you know it's there. It spawns slightly more often then spider jockeys but would have incentive to make you want to kill them. It would carry a random piece of equipment dropped all the time, the equipment would depend upon difficulty. Like easy it would have 10 hearts and do 2 hearts of damage and carry a stone tool with a %50 chance to have iron tools and armor, Medium would have 15 hearts and do 3 1/2 hearts of damage and carry iron tools and armor, Hard would have 30 hearts and hit for 5 hearts of damage and drop 1-2 diamond tools or pieces of armor or 1-2 diamonds. I like this mob idea for the reason of you not knowing where they are so it adds another uncontrollable element into minecraft. If you find this mob it adds a nice surprise and for those manliest of men that play the harder difficulty and nice bonus for killing it. Please leave any feedback/criticism about this idea. And remember if I had the programming skills I would Make this a mod!
Personally I think this would not be a good idea. Mostly because it's invisible. That's not a very good idea because you have to be ready all the time for an attack. And I don't think it's good idea for it to have diamond armor and weapons.

It only drops them on hard mode and it wouldn't be easy to kill so the danger would always be greater than the reward, meaning it's not easy to get the diamond tool he has or the 1-2 diamonds that he will drop.
