- When you attack an enemy with a sword, it will sound like you are slicing open something quickly with a sword, whether its flesh or metal.
- When you hit an enemy with your fist, it would make a punching sound, like the one in Spiderman.
- Blood would be an optional feature. It would be off by default, but possible to turn on if you wanted.
It would be just a particle effect that comes off like smoke or dust. Creepers would have grey blood, endermen would have purple blood, zombie pigs and slimes would have green blood, ghasts would have light blue blood, blaze and magma cube "blood" would be orange, skeletons would have white "blood", and every other MOB would have red blood.
- This will be an optional feature as well, turned off by default. When you defeat a MOB, its body parts should slip off and fall to the floor, and THEN disappear, rather than the whole corpse just falling back and disappearing at once. Optional, because some people might lag too much, or just prefer the old death.
If blood is on, then severed body parts will keep bleeding after death until they disappear.
Hmm,yeah,I support all of these.
The blood and the body parts should be kinda "hidden" or activated with some code because a lot of kids play Minecraft and well...it might be too brutal for them.
And I think the attack sounds should be added, because right now,you only hear the damage sound when a player takes damage.
Keep in mind that children play call of duty and halo, swear, get pregnant, get drunk, and do all sorts of stuff like that. Pixellated fake looking blood in Minecraft is the last thing that needs to be worried about. I would rather not have to skimp out on a feature just because any small children who happen to play might get grossed out

Oh come on now... You're saying that all kids who play Minecraft (which is a pretty friendly and popular game) play Call of Duty, swear, get pregnant, drink, and such?
I guess your idea isn't that bad, but your generalization is ridiculous.

No, not at all! I'm just saying that we shouldn't have to watch out for them, they would avoid it if they really didn't like blood and such, or their parents wouldn't allow them to play. And minecraft wasn't made for any specific age group in mind.
Blood is a terrible idea I'm afraid, even as an option. There's a line between cartoon violence and regular violence, blood pushes Minecraft over that line. It would change the whole feel of the game. It may not seem like a huge change to you, but it is.
Also it would never be added since Notch and the other devs do not want blood in Minecraft. So it doesn't really matter what you or I think about it, it's not going to be added.
