Better wolves.
Lots of people have previously suggested this idea, but abandoned it as a pile of turd covered ideas.
Now, we (might) Have a New one!
Better wolves!
1st of all, we come to the wolves of minecraftia...
We have the normal white/grey wolves that roam the lands. Nothing is changed... yet.
Second, you have black wolves, which live in swamp biomes. They rarely spawn, and have 1.5x the health, and are tamed with meat.
Lastly, Bloodhounds (Red wolves). They spawn only on glow-stone blocks in the nether or on nether bricks in the nether, and very rarely. They deal 1.5x the amount of damage. These wolves are tamed with gold nuggets. (spawn rates are compared to that of the normal wolf, not regular mobs.)
When a wolf is tamed it comes up with an interface showing:
Wolf breed,
Naming bar (which shows above a wolfs head when looked at)
Wolf level (i will get to this later)
Wolf health
Wolf type.
For the breed, i just explained that.
Naming bar: it shows through blocks so u can find you pet easily. shows in red if your wolf is sitting, and shows in blue if your wolf is walking/ standing.
Level: When mobs are killed by your faithful companion it sucks up the exp orbs they drop like a vacuum cleaner (it doesn't do this if you kill the mob) Wolf health and attack increase by levels (level range is 1- 10)
Level one wolfs are normal
Level two wolfs have 10% more speed
Level three wolfs don't jump in lava or drown in water.
Level four wolfs have 10% more health
Level five wolfs have 10% more damage
Level six wolfs keep track of what you attack better
Level seven wolfs passively attack all hostile mobs
Level eight wolfs make mobs drop 1 more of their item
Level nine wolfs pick up items off the ground and throw them at you. Can be disabled.
Level ten wolfs will attack creepers and block arrows. Their health normally regenerates 1/2 heart per 3 seconds and wont eat exp orbs.
Wolf health- obvious isn't it- Shows the hearts of your pet above their head with the name.
Wolf type: ah, heres an interesting one: Your wolf can be selected to be a "pet", or a "guard"
(feel free to add more ideas for types- or anything!)
Pet wolfs are your average minecraft pet.
Guard wolfs patrol a set area and attack anything except the person who tamed it. Includes your mates but. (and a griefer) Scares away creepers? (like ocelots)
...
I just realized that i was typing "Wolfs" Rather than "Wolves" So.... yeah.
I hope you read all of this idea. Feel free to add comments- but be warned,
my new pet wolf will eat the negative ones! Thanks for listening!
Specteralblaze Out. I have absolutely no idea how to start a poll. (yup, creepers wear pants)
:3 i guess.
My wolf just ate that comment.
...
anyways you COULD suggest a better idea but no, your just going to post some ineffective complaint so my wolf can eat it.
suggest your own idea, or say which ones should be taken out of that.
And if your going to say the whole thing should be taken out, my wolf is sitting next to me with its mouth open.

Let's just say that one of your armor and weaponless friends (or a friendly bystander) accidentally came near your wolf, then with the speed, health, and attack buff your friend got killed. Also I think we should leave scaring the creepers to the ocelots. Also I think wolves shouldn't regenerate since by the time you get a wolf you already half two stacks of any meat available.

Specteralblaze Out.
Here, have a diamond.
Seriously, this would only cause massive confusion, as well as add an extreme disadvantage against anyone who doesn't have a wolf.
This is not pokemon.

Learn to take critizism, as I am actually saying that all of that idea is bad. In other words, I am saying "all of it should be taken out".
