The purpose of the icebox is to increase the saturation of food items that are placed in the box (much like a chest). They cannot be placed adjacently to become double-widened. You leave certain foods like steak or porkchops in the icebox for a predetermined amount of time and then you take them out. They will now have a gold-ish glow on them. Much like potions and other enchanted items, just gold. You surround an ice block (retrieved via Silk Touch) with iron blocks on your crafting table. The icebox will only saturate certain foods. NOT including melon slices, cookies, cake, rotten flesh, spider eyes, potatoes, carrots, apples, bread, or pumpkin pie. However, mushroom stew will be able to be benefit from the affects of the icebox. Along with all cooked meats. Please spread this idea!
Update- all saturated food items that are taken out of the box are only saturated for a certain amount of time before returning to a normal state. Okay, nevermind the ice. To craft it, you would put a block of snow in the center.
No support. Seems like a pointless addition to the game that would make hunger even easier than it already is in the lategame, which is the only time you would have silk touch anyway.
