Hey forumers, I was playing around today on my SMP server and had just finished building a vault under my base which will also serve as a storage room. It's fairly large, well, its massive, and I realized after finishing it, that it's going to take a long time to memorize locations of items in the chests and stuff. Which got me to thinking. With all of the new and recent updates a lot of stuff has been added including writeable books and in the coming update a lot more decorative blocks. I think it would be cool to perhaps add something like a podium which would have a writeable book placed on top and could be used to write a ledger or stock sheet of storage rooms. Obviously it could have other uses (although I'm not sure what or how useful) but this would be very helpful to anyone playing on just a lan server that does not use mods. Also I was thinking that a smaller map could be cool that could be placed in the frames that will be coming soon. Maybe a single chunk map. So you see only what is on the surface of a single chunk. Which in turn could be cool to make large displays of the aerial view of a town.
Anyways, just a thought. I haven't looked around so I'm not sure if this has been discussed or not but I would love some feedback. Criticism as well.
Hmm, I really would not see a use for it minus the fact that less signs would have to be used, but it would be a good decoration block if you could put the heads of skeletons, zombies, etc.. I think that would be a great add. Also maybe if you could but a fully loaded map on the podium and see a whole town, villages and monuments that would be cool.
No, there has never, ever been a sandbox game with a story or ending... except Grand Theft Auto... and Saints Row... and Red Dead Redemption... and Crack Down... and Assassins Creed...

In fact yes. Just like that. Too bad the idea was scrapped.
