please add something like diamond or obsidian pistons that can push any amount of blocks and can push anything but bedrock....the crafting order could be:
DDD
OIO
ORO
the D stands for diamonds, the O stands for obsidian, the I stands for iron(block maybe), the R stands for redstone
I would change the crafting recipe because....
The only use i find it for, is for pushing something at a long range, And that... Could be somewhat useful in adventure maps.
Maybe to = Sticky piston.
It would 'toughen up' the sticky piston to push a row of blocks.
It should have a max amount of blocks to push.
This will be to prevent lag,
Ex: I push 923845952390458394850938 blocks with this new piston.
That would make the game move 923845952390458394850938 blocks at once, and that would make your game crash/lag.
IMO it should be able to push 30 blocks in a row at once. It still has a range, but not too dangerous in lags terms.

Hmm...
*Dig a few blocks down*
*Place the diamond piston*
*Hook it up to a smart piston and an automatic cobblestone generator"
*lag lag lag laG LAG LAG LAG LAG LAG*
*Client crashes. World corrupted.*
The limits placed on Pistons are there for a reason. Simply removing these boundaries in a new Piston breaks the game. You have to consider the ramifications of removing set constraints.

Retired StaffPeople in servers could have different render distance than each other, so it would need a block 'stop'
