As im sure you are all aware the dragon egg is absolutely useless and i think this can be fixed.
I propose that the dragon egg, when placed in the overworld/nether, should spawn a new enderdragon. It would be exactly the same as the version seen in the end, except it will be red, fulfilling Notchs red dragon prophecy.
Upon killing this new red dragon, it will drop a dragon egg, which can be used to repeat the process infinitely.
Please leave any ideas on improving this in the thread,
Yay, just what we need.
Infinitely loop of a red dragon that according to your suggestion, drops nothing but an egg that can spawn another one!
Now why would I want to fight a dragon constantly? The Enderdragon is for a end-game achievement and to get out of the ender.
Could be spawned then put in an obsidian cage to show off your achievments to visitors etc.
It would drop lots of xp like the other one did, maybe drop gunpowder, diamond blocks, enchanted armour, lava buckets. Ofcourse it would have drops to make it worth the time put into fighting it.
