I've discovered that irrigating the desert in Minecraft is pretty easy.
I like infinite water sources when I'm in the forest or on the plains. It makes sense that water is plentiful there. But playing in the desert it can be a little bit ridiculous.
I think the best solution would be to make water behave differently depending on the biome you're in. It should travel less far, and it should be prevented from becoming an infinite water source.

Retired StaffAlso get rid of those damn notch lakes in the desert, they don't fit at all, and looks ugly as all can be.
No wait, in fact get rid of those lakes entirely and maybe code in some good looking lakes.
