So I recently saw a thread about our dear Enderdragon (and Wither needed other improvements) and how he needed to be buffed. This is some of the comments people wrote, along with my own ideas thrown in.
This is what I suggest for the Enderdragon.
You go through you enderportal, possibly dig upward from the bottom, and begin your fight of godly proportions in this cold, static abyss.
-its should attack more often. It is rather annoying waiting 5 minutes while it derps 100 blocks in the sky above me.
-Its normal "biting" attack which does 5, should be upgraded to 6.
-A new "swooping" type attack where it fires a projectile at you. This projectile would deal 3 hearts of damage and would create a potion effect on you that make you teleport randomly within a 10 block radius of the center block for 5 seconds, 1 every 1/2 second, dealing 1 heart per teleport. It would be slower, like a ghast fireball. However if the projectile misses it will try and slash you with its talons as it soars overhead, dealing 7 damage.
-When it is below 30 hearts it should develop a large tear on one of its wings, and land (possibly able to slowly walk), its no-clip removed. The dragon will then fire a teleport-orb at you every 3-7 seconds. If you get within range it will also try and do a "lunging-bite" attack. It will also make any endermen within 7 blocks of the dragon go agro on you.
-Upon victory, all endermen in the End will despawn. The enderdragon will also drop a netherstar or two and about 2-16 obsidian.
You then go home with your egg, lick your wounds, and prepare for round two.
This is what I suggest for the Wither.
You head to the End for a second time. Except now its a new dimension, the Withered. Where the obsidian pillars once stood are large trees, stripped of all but a few leaves. The remaining ones are grey. The ground has been replaced with a grey ash block. Dead, grey ferns, tall grass, and flowers are scattered about. A very small scattering of "withered ponds" are around. The water is black like oil, and touching it withers you. The endermen are all gone, replaced by Withered Skeletons. In the center of the floating island is a 3x3 obsidian platform with no trees nearby. You summon the Wither here using the sand made of souls of the damned and skulls of its minions. (this is the only dimension you can summon him, to prevent greifers using it.)
(I will add new wither combat AI suggestions later.)
After defeating the Wither, there is some more ending credit-text stuff, revealing more but still keeping it mystery-ish. And being epic as the dragon's.
Thanks for reading. And votes for "Potato" will be counted as yes.
Apart from the wither, I like it. However, I think the enderdragon should just use the current pattern until you've destroyed all the crystals, then it should attack en masse.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
No, there has never, ever been a sandbox game with a story or ending... except Grand Theft Auto... and Saints Row... and Red Dead Redemption... and Crack Down... and Assassins Creed...
