Hey guys! I've been thinking about a cool idea for a new official update or a mod....but it would be better universal. Anyways, here's what I've come up with, and feel free to leave suggestions in replies!
-Add bulls which spawn with cows and look like cows but with bigger horns and a muscular area behing the head and will charge at you with the strength of a Knockback V iron sword if you attack a cow or bull and drop 3-5 meat (and maybe a horn? This could be an interesting item) -Cows and bulls now travel in herds of 3-20 and follow each other -Animals can now randomly reproduce in the wild -Animals will bolt away purposely if hit instead of just running in circles. -Wolves also spawn in groups, packs, of 3-12, and travel together and track the herds of bulls and cows -Wolves can now sneak to ambush cows/bulls -Wolves now hunt very realistically: The travel in a pack, and follow the herds of cows and bulls, and once they are nearby they will split up and sneak up on the herd and isolate a cow and kill it -Wolves now eat dropped meat from cows -Sheep drop lamb meat? I know it's too much, but just putting it out there.. -In some circumstances herds act as one--they will all bolt if you hit one, and the bulls will attack. -Randomize some mob skins--the way they do it for cats, but for wild mobs, so some cows are black, some are brown or white, etc, -Some baby animals have custom skins--for example a baby chicken is a yellow chicks -Wolves still hunt sheep, but with the teamwork engine, and the same with pigs now, but they mainly hunt cows, and will stop to kill a pig or sheep on the move. -Villagers now do their jobs, and chests appear in random building not just the smithies. Some villagers smelt ore, hunt, etc. And put their items in their chest. They also know their own house, not sleep in another house every night -Wild ocelots will hunt for fish in 1 block deep water, when the catch the fish is dropped and the ocelots eat it after about 2 seconds, giving you a chance to scare away the ocelot and steal the fish if you want to be a mean person >
The following arent really animal things but they kind of go with them:
-When in forest and jungle biomes, once in a while you will randomly pick up a dropped stick or fruit* -Breaking leaves now sometimes drops sticks -*Different tree types drop different fruits: Oak=Apple Jungle=Mango or Banana Birch=Chestnut Spruce=Hollyberry or Raspberry?
Thats what I have for now, when I'm daydreaming about Minecraft at school I'll think of more suggestions and edit the post, and you guys reply with some of your ideas and if they're good and reasonable I'll add them here! Thanks for reading this!
Your ideas are great. I'm not entirely a fan of them all running away if you get too close, but the rest sound like they would be awesome. Perhaps the herds should create a stampede and trample you if they get too nervous as a group. xD
Yeah, the animals running away would make the game a bit more difficult I guess, but it would be more realistic! Maybe there could be a way to turn it on and off...
-Add bulls which spawn with cows and look like cows but with bigger horns and a muscular area behing the head and will charge at you with the strength of a Knockback V iron sword if you attack a cow or bull and drop 3-5 meat (and maybe a horn? This could be an interesting item)Interesting, but not worth vanilla addition.
-Cows and bulls now travel in herds of 3-20 and follow each other20? That's pretty crowded for Minecraft...
-Animals can now randomly reproduce in the wild No. This could cause overpopulation and spoil players even more with animal-given resources. This is why manual breeding exists.
-Animals will nervously walk away if you are within 5 blocks and bolt if you are within 2 blocks unless you are sneaking or holding wheatNah, that'll get annoying. There's gonna come a time where you really need pork and you're gonna get frustrated by chasing pigs.
-Wolves also spawn in groups, packs, of 3-12, and travel together and track the herds of bulls and cowsIn a list of things that wolves attack, cows aren't too far up that list. Still though, them moving in packs is alright.
-Wolves can now sneak to ambush cows/bulls Not that bad an idea but not that good either. Though this would cause a lot of raw beef to be dropped.
-Wolves now hunt very realistically: The travel in a pack, and follow the herds of cows and bulls, and once they are nearby they will split up and sneak up on the herd and isolate a cow and kill itNot big on wolves killing cows but the idea is ok. I doubt Mojang would make the effort though.
-Wolves now eat dropped meat from cows Ignore my previous previous statement.
-Sheep drop lamb meat?Painfully oversuggested. The game has plenty of food already. Sheep can already be an infinite wool resource.
-In some circumstances herds act as one--they will all bolt if you make one too nervousThis just adds annoyance...
-Randomize some mob skins--the way they do it for cats, but for wild mobs, so some cows are black, some are brown or white, etc,Good idea, but I don't think the rest of the wild mobs need this.
-Some baby animals have custom skins--for example a baby chicken is a yellow chicksYes, I'm on board there.
-Wild ocelots will hunt for fish in 1 block deep water, when the catch the fish is dropped and the ocelots eat it after about 2 seconds, giving you a chance to scare away the ocelot and steal the fish if you want to be a mean person > Makes sense, again though, I doubt Mojang will make the effort. A good chunk of your ideas are quite plausible.
Yeah, the animals running away would make the game a bit more difficult I guess, but it would be more realistic! Maybe there could be a way to turn it on and off...
NEVER use the "you can turn it off" escape. Those kind of things are left to much bigger things like enabling cheats and structures, and not to small things like mob behavior.
Yet another new user making a rule-breaking wishlist that will be locked. I'll still give criticism on each idea though.

Time to argue back.
1. Have ur opinions, but I think it is.
2. 3-20. The average would be like 6-12?
3. Well, very rarely..Maybe the map could sense a lowness of animals and do that? Or maybe they could eat village wheat...
4. I agree there, I'm rethinking that point..
5. I really like this idea, its my favorite of all, I stubbornly make an assertion that its an awesome idea.
6. They eat it. Also the packs would be limited to one or two cows per herd until the herd is far away then they hunt again.
7. Hmm...we could start a petition! :3
8. Alrighty.
9. True but on PVP servers there are sheep everywhere and no cows or pigs--everyone needs food and no wool.
10. Yeah, true--they could at least do it when attacked by wolves.
11. There are Textures like this and they are AWESOME so it isnt essential but its a good idea.
12. Uh...thanks for supporting one idea?
13. Yeah....but I mean, they let sheep eat grass to grow wool, and wolves kill sheep, so why not this in the AI?
And this isnt a wishlist, bro. A wishlist is like: They should add big boats, and spears, and tigers. TOTALLY RANDOM THINGS> These are all related, so its not a wishlist.
Thanks for the commentary and support on some of my ideas....I agree about the running animals and especially with the herds...I have a better idea: You know how now, when u hit them, they run in circles everywhere? Instead of that, if u hit them they should bolt, and with the herds the cows bolt and the bulls attack.
There are some good ideas here.
Animals already do respawn in the nature. It just isnt a large%.
Wolfves should only go after sheep not cows and bulls.
I like the idea od bulls.
20 cows and bulls in a group seems a bit to much.

I dont think 20 is to much, but thats the max--usually like 12. And what I'm saying is instead of respawning they should reproduce. And I think wolves should go after the cows too--I am a huge wolf expert, their primary diet is ungulates. Mainly deer and elk, its a common myth they like sheep--thats if theyre starving for to many days without a deer, they will raid a farm and take a sheep, the cows are penned and the sheep roam the meadows. Easy food. In the wild their favorite food is deer and elk, again--cows are the nearest relative.
