Hello all, let me start by saying that I'm quite annoyed by the "1 suggestion per post" rule. This will be the first suggestion on a list of 19 that I have ready...
I think minecraft would be more realistic if this modification was made to the natural light level.
The moon and stars would provide a darker light at night (nearly a zero light level) and the sun would provide a higher light level during the day. However, as in real life, your eyes would have to adjust to sudden changes in light level. Fully tuned for night, your eyes might make things up to 3x as bright as in high light situations. This change wouldn't happen immediately, also as in real life, but maybe take about 2 minutes to fully adjust.
This would mean that it's easier to see at night when your eyes are adjusted, but looking directly at a bright light source (i.e. glowstone) would ruin your night vision, temporarily of course.
I think this is a good idea, though I don't know if it's only a personal preference. Give me some feedback, please.
I like the idea of it being implemented on only the harder difficulties, but would if it was implemented everywhere but was more extreme on medium and hard?
If you don't like having to make many threads for multiple suggestions, post them in "Small suggestions".
@OT That's a fair idea, but for some players it might be a strange adjustment. With the eminent addition of night-vision potions, this would be welcomes, though.
