Ok armor is pretty bland currently. so im thinking why not add armor sets? what i mean is add new armors each with their own set bonuses. along with this i will be adding new weapons (they will be seen at the end)
Hunter's Armor
Mats needed iron, full leather armor, more leather, and a quiver or knive sheath (new item for the creation of this armor set)

Helmet only: Ironsight Makes your crosshair better and makes bows more accurate
Helmet only: Quick Swap Makes your swap time for Knives and Potions faster (aka makes it faster to switch between them in your hotbar)
Helm and Chest: Barrage: has a 5% chance to shoot 3 arrows in a row and it only costs 1 arrow (this is not a spread shot like ability)
Helm and Chest: Backstab: When wielding a Knife and behind an mob/player you have a 5% chance to instant kill that enemy.
Helm Chest and Pants: Quick Draw: When wielding a Bow you have a 25% boost in draw speed. Also you have a 5% chance to instantly fire at full power.
Helm Chest and Pants: Stealthy: Invisibilty and Night Vision potions last longer.
Full Set: Infinity: 2% chance to not consume an arrow
Full Set: Acid Blade: 2% chance to poison the mob/player.

Also, there aren't any knives in Minecraft. Just swords.

Yes. I can't support something that isn't finished; that's kind of against the rules here.
And just a heads-up, the Monster Hunter games already have a system of weapon and armor upgrades, as well as bonus skills triggered by wearing certain armor sets/parts, much like this system. People familiar with MH might think this is too similar, suspect plagiarism, and decline support.
Personally, I don't think Minecraft really needs this big a combat update. The monsters are too weak and there's never enough of them at once to warrant an elaborate combat system. The most I would ever ask for is making blocking more useful and maybe even possibly let you wind up a slash for extra damage, as long as it didn't interfere with the classic swing-like-a-maniac style fighting.
I was getting a vibe from Star Wars the Old Republic with my set bonuses. and i think minecraft combat is WAYY to bland... so some people think this is a stupid idea and some may love it. its preference

I don't mind that Minecraft's combat is bland- that's not why I play it. I play it for the freedom to explore, build, and create, and for the unpredictable and sometimes beautiful environments.
When I'm in the mood for decent combat, I play something else that is more combat-focused.
