In Minecraft, fire more "eats" blocks away rather than burning them. Basically, this idea would
change that and make fires a bit more realistic. When a log is burned, it becomes a cynder block.
This basically looks like a dark gray log. When mined, blown up or touched by fluid, cynder blocks
would immediately crumble into 1 of charcoal. Myabe 2-3 on a 10% chance.
They might also crumble after enough exposure to weather.
Soot is another new block, which looks like black sand and is affected by gravity. Any flammable
block (including wooden planks) other than logs will be turned into soot. Leaves only have a
1 in 100 chance of turning into soot, so that burnt forests aren't crowded with it.
I think that this Cinder block that you suggested should not turn into more than 1 charcoal. Otherwise, we wouldn't need to burn it in furnaces anymore.
I think it should have a chance of turning into charcoal, like a 1 in 5 chance or something. Because why would anyone smelt logs in a furnace anymore. They have to make it so that using fuel in a furnace is more convenient than just burning the tree itself. I also think that soot should only have a 1 in 3 chance of forming. I do like the idea though, you have my support

If anyone wants to port/remake this, feel free to do that! Or don't. It's up to you, really.
