A suggestion brought to you by Jim_Puff I'm sorry if this was suggested before. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The other day I had an idea of an item that you could show off to your friends or use as decoration. And then I had the idea of Trophies, but a special kind of trophy, like a Mob Trophy.
First off, before you get a Mob Trophy, you need a GLASS BOTTLE. Now, depending on what mob you want a trophy off, you must go find that mob and kill it. My idea was that there is a 1/100 chance that when you kill a mob, a ghostly entity of the mob will appear and stay there for about 15-20 seconds. The ghost entity will not doing anything but stay in place, slowly fading away. [Let us say you kill a Ghast and it dies in the air. The ghost entity, if it occurs, will float in the air, and it will not fall down.] Before it fades away completley, you have the chance to 'capture' it with a glass bottle. This would be done by holding a glass bottle and right clicking on the ghost.
And bingo! You have a mob in a bottle! These would be called Contained Zombie, Contained Pig, Contained Blaze, etc. This new item can be placed like a block.
When placed, it will look like a Glass Bottle, but with a mini version of the mob you captured spinning inside it similarly to how Monster Spawners have the mob spinning inside. The only difference is that the mob spinning in the glass bottle will go the opposite direction of that of a Monster Spawner and will spin much slower.
Breaking a placed contained mob will drop the item, like it should do. However, in Hardcore mode, breaking a placed contained mob will release the mob. Watch out if you have a contained !!!!
List of mobs you can capture Pig Cow Sheep Chicken Mooshroom Villagers Iron Golems Snow Golems Squids Zombies Zombie Villagers Baby Zombie Villagers Skeletons Spiders Enderman Creepers Slimes Zombie Pigmen Ghasts Magma Cubes Cave Spiders Silverfish Blaze Wither???-------ONLY IF THE WITHER BOSS CAN BE FOUGHT MORE THAN ONCE!!!!
Tell me if I missed any mobs. Thanks.
I SKIPPED ENDERDRAGON FOR A REASON.
Summing it Up
My suggestion is simply that you can capture ghost versions of mobs they release upon death with a glass bottle, causing a new item to be formed and a fun way to decorate your house! My suggestion:
[]Uses Glass Bottles in another way other than for potions []Introduces a fun way to decorate your house

There used to be a mod where you put like a bear trap on the ground and it turned a mob into a pick up item if they stepped on it. Then you could put that in a cage.

Thats pretty cool, but I want to know how a bear trap turns a mob into an item xD

but maybe replace the bottle with a glass block that way the captured "mob" will be bigger but bottle is cool too
I think it would be fine with a bottle. Thanks for the support!
Also, check me on youtube http://www.youtube.com/user/darksuperganon?feature=mhum
I understand. Capturing this 'ghost entity' will result for the actual mob to be in the empty bottle. I just don't know how to descrbe it.
And yes, catching Poes in Zelda. Legend of Zelda ftw.
