I had a thought today for an explorer villager, who exists on his own and acts of his own accord. A villager Indiana
Jones would be proud of.
Basically, he doesn't use regular villager AI. He is found wandering naturally in caves and on the surface and will fight hostile mobs on his own with swords. He trades emeralds for tools, food, and potions, and will give you raw ores, plants, and rare items like saddles, ender pearls, or mycelium.
I've seen this before but you broke it down quite smoothly. It's an interesting idea though the typical villager wouldn't do. you'd need to put a twist on him. I mean, the Testificates are monks, would live in a sustained little bubble and likely forbidden to travel. That would mean that this fellow is not part of their order. maybe an outlaw, excommunicated, or member of an alternate, nomadic, society.
