To put it simply, any given spawned chicken should have a 0.01% chance of always laying Golden Eggs. A Golden Egg would be able to be used for anything that a Gold Ingot is used for, in addition to being able to be used to make a special Cake that can be eaten from 3x as many times as a normal cake.
They can be used to spawn a baby chicken at a 100% rate instead of a 1/8th chance, but the baby chicken will still only have a chance of being one that lays Golden Eggs(Though, this is increased to 0.05% chance with a Golden Egg).
This isn't really the best idea I've ever seen. Don't you think that 0.01% is kind of rare? That would be a hundred spider jockets for every golden egg! I also don't think that chickens should lay golden eggs. Maybe you could make them the same way a golden apple is made? And they should be enchantable too if they actually turn out in minecraft.

Chickens that lay Golden Eggs would have to be rare. Otherwise, having a Golden Egg would be nothing to be proud of. Haven't you ever heard of the fairy tale about the golden egg-laying hen(Or was it a goose...)?
best way to optomise this would be to increase the chances to spider jockey status or a little higher to pink sheep status, that way when ones found not only is it a reward but when the chicken hatches it will double the chances of the egg laid, but this time its harder to get a chick to hatch down to a 1/3 chance but when one does hatch it doubles the chances again and lowers the chances to 1/5 chance, and so on until the ag has a 10% chance of being laid, not only that but you could also breed these chickens to have golden chckens which lay more eggs on a daily bases than the regular hen but they'll have no chickens hatch from them

Either way, I wouldn't care much if this was added. They're so rare I would never use them.
