The following ideas were initially inspired by the Sticky Piston.
What if you could use Slimeballs as a sort of adhesive? You equip it, right click onto a block, and anything that comes into contact with it is stuck there for a short period of time. For example, place it on the ground to make a sticky trap for mobs.
Expanding on that idea, what if you could use it to adhere blocks together? Place it between to adjacent blocks of Sand or Gravel to prevent them from falling down.
But here's the kicker. What if this were the key to creating new modes of transportation?
Let's say you add craftable "starter" blocks to the game. Say, for example, a buoyant block that, when placed in water, would float like a boat does. You then add on to this block by using Slimeballs to adhere other blocks to it. Craft a simple raft a la Tom Sawyer, or build up that grand Spanish galleon and sail the seven seas.
How would you control your new vessel? A control block pertaining to the starter block. You adhere a ship's wheel to the boat you just built, right click, and control the entire thing as you would a standard boat.
How about the same thing for a Minecart? Craft a set of wheels, adhere other blocks to it, add a control block (in this case, forward and reverse control lever?) And you've just built your first locomotive.
How about a balloon block? Adhere other blocks to it, add the control block, and now you've got an airship. Control the entire thing just like you would using fly in creative mode.
I think this could also open up the possibilities for an elevator system. You use slimeballs to adhere the elevator platform together, then use ropes and pulleys/winches to move the platform up and down.
This has all been covered before.
Ultimately: Sticky traps are fun, and maybe should be added, but if they don't, they still have soul sand and spider webs.
I've seen the sticky sand idea and it's not bad.
Large, custom made vehicles via sticking blocks together sounds like a good idea, but the logistics of coding it would be absolutely terrifying. Besides that a giant monstrous would quickly stop being fun to use as minecraft was never made to facilitate physical objects larger then one block and if you did manage to code this, it would still get caught on all the edges and crash you on your face.
I hate people who complain. I hate spiders. I hate people who own an Xbox One. I hate people who like sandbox games. I hate people who like first person shooters. I hate people who like explosions. I hate people who like video games. I hate people who are hateful. I hate people that don't like spam. I hate people who like cake. I hate people who type in proper grammar and spell words properly on the internet. I hate hypocrites.
