here are some things that need to be fixed 1. the saves need to save your skin better so you dont have to change it every day like i have to. 2. the world saves when you open to lan or save and quit so the sever isnt open constently and creating huge amounts of lag. 3. also whenever i quit or switch worlds my armor gets deleted in creative. 4. lan worlds should brodcast like normal servers so that people who arent in the same house/room can join. those are just a few problems i have been experiencing and it would be awesome if they would be fixed.
Ok, I see your point on all of these. But, I have different things that may be wrong with each of your statements:
1- I have the same problem with my skin on Minecraft, and this does seem to be affecting the online play, too. So, I have no real problem with this post.
2- I do not understand what this one means, so it doesn't help me to comment on it.
3- Creative mode doesn't save your inventory when you leave, atleast not if you open another creative, then go back to the other one.
4- "Local Area Network!" I agree that there should be a way to broadcast your server to the world, but this isn't the right way. Opening it in every game would just create more lag for people with already laggy computers. (And I don't think that everyone in the world has enough money, time, space, and patience to buy a new computer.)
...whenever i quit or switch worlds my armor gets deleted in creative...
This may have something to do with the new GUI implemented in the 1.3.1 update, which features a survival inventory in creative mode. A similar problem happened to me back in 1.2.5 while using the 'more creative' mod, which also featured a survival inventory in creative mode.
Even though armor is unneccessary in creative mode, the bug should still be fixed.
I occasionally have the skin problem but i'm still fine with the steve skin but if LAN opened up to everybody that would lag single player more than it already does. You could always just download the server file from the minecraft website.
You can't expect to be able to play a 3D, randomly-generated (more importantly the fact that the game isn't pre-rendered) on a crappy computer, and you can't really blame the developers for not holding the game back and making it so that it runs on your single-core, integrated graphics chip computer from 2001.
BUT don't yell at me for saying that, because I also have a pretty lame computer, but it is from 2009 and has dual-cores, integrated graphics though. The difference is that I don't go complaining that my computer can't run minecraft without lag, I understand that Minecraft is a very intensive game since it isn't pre-rendered.
Fun fact: A lot of people have mentioned that Skyrim actually runs better on their computer than minecraft does. That is because Skyrim is pre-rendered though.

1. the saves need to save your skin better so you dont have to change it every day like i have to.
The Minecraft skin server is down from time to time as of 1.3; hopefully this will be fixed.
2. the world saves when you open to lan or save and quit so the sever isnt open constently and creating huge amounts of lag.
This has never happened to me. Maybe it's just your computer?
3. also whenever i quit or switch worlds my armor gets deleted in creative.
Perhaps it's because your inventory is not transferrable/syncable between worlds.
4. lan worlds should brodcast like normal servers so that people who arent in the same house/room can join.
Well, it is called LAN for a reason, "Local".
If you want people be able to join from all over the world, then create a server.
those are just a few problems i have been experiencing and it would be awesome if they would be fixed.
