Have you ever played Tekkit? Do you remember that awesome workbench that was so convienient? The one that kept the ingredients on the table until you removed them or used them? I think that should be in vanilla.
Example: You're trying to make something complicated, Enchanting Table, dispenser, piston etc. So you're crafting and- you realize you need 1 more redstone or wooden plank! So you have to go out of the table, have all your items drop, go get more from your chests, and come back to the table and craft it all over again.
So what I propose is called the "Sticky Crafting Table." This table would be crafted with a normal crafting table under a slimeball. It would act identically to the original Crafting Table with this huge change. Very similar to the "Stick Piston," this table would simply keep all items on the table until they were crafted into something or taken off the table. This would save a lot of hassle, and would be really cool to have.
What's this, you say? "Overpowered?" Not at all!
This table requires you to find slimes, just like sticky pistons. Slimes are somewhat rare and are usually considered valuable by most minecraft players. Therefore this evenly balances the cost-to-performance ratio.
And if you still have a problem with this being "OP," than I suggest the recipe maybe requires a few iron ingots, you know, to more simulate a machine/utility block.
So, does anyone else think this would be a good addition to Vanilla Minecraft?
Also, leave your suggestions below on how I might improve this idea.
I like this idea, but why not just give regular crafting tables this ability? While it could be manipulated into a lesser form of storage, chests aren't that much harder to make.
