While i am not much of a grammar nazi please try harder on your spelling cause it's pretty bad.
Yeah sorry about the grammar, I have dislexia and tremors
Also I am trying to refute the logic argument because if water can not b in the nether, then minecraft oak tress should not drop apples, obsidian should not be explosion proof as the real thing is a form of glass, and berock should be able to blown up because the real thing can pretty esasily.
The water is supposed to help you survive long enough to start the portal again.
And by hard I meant that it should be like you probably will not get it until you get to the point where you have plenty of extra resources laying around (which happens if you keep playing and do not waste stuff).
Actually it does have to be that way, while Minecraft isn't a realistic game it still has ounces of logic.
Medieval* Advanced* learn to spell please.
on another note you are wrong, redstone is a form of primitive energy. And therefore would fit with Minecraft's primitive-like theme.
This is the part where I facepalmed Imagine the Nether being like the inside of a volcano, now imagine spilling a drop of water in a volcano what happens to it?
it evaporates. And since you "think" that is opinion. I'm not arguing over realism but what's the point of water in the Nether? you have the Overworld why not stock your water in there?
Yes.
How else will people get apples? in dungeons? despite being a mediocre source of food?
How else can we block out the Void? who wants to fall into a deep dark pit? why would we need to destroy bedrock?
But what do you get if lava and water combines? oh I know! Obsidian! and what do we use it for? (we can't use it for tools because Mojang said they will not be adding any more toolsets or weaponsets at the moment) We use it as a building material! and making it the second most durable block in the game is the only purpose it has besides being a crafting material for enchantment tables.
Why would water and lava need sunlight?
The argument is that you can not use logic to say no water because those other things dont follow logice, they could find a way to make it ft logic if it were really that important.
I say minecraft is not a midevial game, it ahould not have to fit with medivel just because people think it is is what I am saying.
Without any sun or source of heat, the end would be super cold if it were being realistic/logically.
Sorry about the spelling im a bit dislexic and have tremors, I work on my spelling though.
There's a limit on how realistic or unrealistic Minecraft gets.
Also why is this thread still alive? It was made in August.
Well there could be many reasons to work for it such as a hidden base in a pvp server or small safe zone so you do noot get rapped the instant you enter the nether.
well i didnt know you couldent bring water into the nether in the first place, so why not?, if you want to poor water all over the place then its your choice, and minecraft is about creating things, i think you should be able to create anything anywhere, support
Ty, im glad somebody know swhat I mean, but i do not think it should be exactly the same as the overworld, perhaps nerfed somehow.
Well, the Nether is really hot, and some people would prefer for it all to evaporate. Others like the permanent usage idea, but I figured that this was idea was in neutral territory. I suppose it's all a matter of opinion anyway.
I was thinking more of nefring water rather than evaporating it, that way it can not b abused but it can still be brought in.
Guess you didn't see "Survival Mode" tacked on it.
Even in survival mode, it is still all about creating things, just working for them more. Also, even in vcreative mode there is not a way to get water into the nether, you have to either be op or have cheats on, which are not legitemant ways if you ask me.
The main argument in here is the ease of converting whole Lava lakes into stone.... SO-
What if a special source block of "Nether Water" could be crafted to serve the purpose, or have Water auto-convert, or simply change the behavior of normal Water to limit it's Lava-to-Obsidian/Stone/Cobblestone and flow distance. Obviously it's possible for the game to discriminate Overworld/Nether liquid behavior since Lava flows farther in the Nether than it does in OW.
First off - (Nether) Water flows only 3 blocks, so Lava and Water flow distance is reversed in the Nether.
Secondly - new source blocks will not generate themselves, even if all six adjacent blocks are Water - all water must be brought from the OW, period.
Third - NO OBSIDIAN.
Finally - Water doesn't convert Lava instantly, Water Source Blocks take 10 game ticks (0.5 seconds) to convert Lava to Stone, the first flow block also takes 10 ticks to make Stone, 2nd flow blocks take 20 ticks (one second) 3rd flow blocks take 40 ticks to make Stone.
Hope this helps, I'd like to see Water in the Nether.

Ah ok that makes more sense.
Like i said though minecraft has its own rules for the world but sticks to the basics.

Very good suggestion, but if you read orgional post, I already covered the obisidan thing.

I get that the game has logic, but i fell it is against logic, that no matter what you do you can never get any water in the nether. i just want it to be possible, i do not care if it functions totally different or anything or if it is really hard, I just want to be able to do it.
Because it would remove all sense of danger if I just made the huge lava ocean solid.
Go read the origional post, it covers why it would not do that at all. If it were nerfed enough and hard enough to get in the nether, it could be made so you could only make a super small sucure spot legitmantly in a reasonable amount of time.

Go read the origional post and come back with a real response.

2. The Nether is supposed to be harder.
3. If youre so desperate, use give playername 8.

Read origionally post, if it is implemented like that, it is not op at all

No, you didn't, and I just went back and checked, the word "Obsidian" does not appear in your original post. At all.
This is the closest you came, but it was still vague, so I was just trying to clarify it all. Sorry for the confusion.
I will cvalrify that more.
Actually the ice iwll just disapear, go ahead and test it.
Can you go more into, like why not?
Perhaps, that could be neat. i will bring to first post and giv you credit.
Sounds good to me.
