I suggest adding wind that would effect things like shooting arrows, maybe have the capability of making a windmill or making lighter objects (say made of wood like small panels or paddles) be pushed by wind.
I was also thinking about a pendulum motion, for swinging vines or tieing vines or rope to an object and somehow push it to get a swinging motion. Perhaps the force can come from the use of pistons or a weight to pushing force ratio for swinging ropes and vines.
Maybe add a way to force air through pipes, be that steam or just air, to produce pressure, steam producing both pressure and heat.
This sounds like a really cool idea. However, the fact it would move your arrows out of place sounds a bit annoying... but I support this. Sounds REALLY cool. I'd love to see vines swaying around in the Jungles and stuff.
At least this isn't block physics, I guess it's cool.

Yes i was thinking the same about the vines, like the ability to make vine-rope bridges from tree top top to tree top, that would be so awesome.
I like the idea of some physics. I wouldn't like there to be block physics (unless it was a feature which could be turned off), but I'd like to be able to build a windmill for example.
The thing to point out about Minecraft is that physics seems to affect certain blocks, but not others. Lava has no effect on signs. Everything but sand and gravel are utterly immune to gravity. Likewise, I imagine there could be a few wind-affected blocks. Maybe a kite, a flag, a windsock, a paper airplane, or a windmill.
Smoke, cloud, or mist blocks might be fun, and those could be blown around a bit by the wind.
Who knows though, maybe there is wind in the Minecraft world, but the only ones affected are the ghasts, which explains why they can fly...

Its a lot, but maybe others would like the ideas.

Likewise, water flows downward.

Curse PremiumMm-Hmm. Yup. 'Cause without wind, water would flow upward.
