i was thinking there could be one last type of ore, something madeup that symbolizes the game, it would be the rarest ore and best and strongest ore, what do you think
Anyone else think that a new type of 'normal' rock would be cool? (Something in addition to flatrock). Just so we have more options aesthetically, and so that mining layers upon layers of plain flatrock (friggin deep maps) doesn't get hellishly boring.
Methril maybe?
Stronger then diamond but so rare that is spawns only in the most dangerous places on the Minecraft world, so when infinite maps will be ready, it will spawn only in the "Hell" part of the world
I think that we shoul have another crafting table sort of thing that would allow us to make different types of stone
or veins/deposits of different types of stone, cobble gets boring after a while
instead of more rare ores, what about combining ores to make better tools. instead of a pure diamond Tool, use 1/3rd the required ores for a Diamond coated tool, which makes it mine/cut/dig as fast as diamond, but have the durability of the base material, in the end, giving you diamond shards to use on the next tool?

Your friendly neighborhood dragon. Don't be scared, I won't bite!
I am here for you, Don't be afraid to send me a message.
Well we could add things like Sapphire, Emerald, Jade, Opal, Pearl, Ruby, for things like jewellery if that was to be implemented. Either that or it could be added to armor to add bonuses? This is just a rough idea, probably wouldnt work in MC though...
I'll bet you get into a lot of fights because you're so hardcore. I wouldn't want to cross you in a dark alley. Heck, even in a lit alley, I bet that'd be pretty dangerous.
Uranium. Each unit has a random chance of emitting radiations after being harvested , hurting you if you are holding it. And if accummulating more than 16 in the same inventory or chest... boom
Uranium sword would cause poison damage to anything it didn't kill outright. When wielded , all uranium tools glow in the dark as a bonus.
I second this motion, notch, if you read this, excellent idea IMHO.

Rather silly idea. Not realistic, at all (and as far as minerals have gone, Notch has been pretty true to nature, even making rare gold soft as you would expect). But the idea of having poisoned blades is an interesting one.

There are two types of people in the world: those who don't find this joke funny and those who are amused by self-referential humour.

So wait, what you and your shaky explosm head are saying is that Uranium is unrealistic?

Well, how about...
Mithril: Super-strong and rare material, stronger than diamond.
Adamantine: Super-super-strong and rare material, stronger than Mithril.
Mythatine: Combination of Mithril and Adamantine. Stronger than Adamantine, but its real advantage is since both those materials are superbly resistant to magma, when wielding one item made of it, you can go through magma for 5 seconds without getting injured. If you carry two items of it, then you can go through magma for 10 seconds without getting injured, and so on.
Stormphrax (Idea from: 'The Edge Chronicles): A rare mineral, that is either found on top of high mountains, or deep underground on top of buried mountains. It isn't as good as diamond, but it has a chance to light something on fire since the power of lightning is captured inside it. But its real value is that when combined with TNT and two blocks of sand, the result is a super bomb item named: 'Stormbomb' This bomb covers 18 blocks and lights the surrounding grass/trees/etc. on fire.
Uranium: Rare mineral. If you try to make weapons out of it, the menu automatically closes and you are lit on fire. However, if you use it instead of gunpowder when making TNT, you get a new item named: 'A-Mini bomb' (Atomic mini-bomb) that blows up 10 blocks. If you combine the A-Mini bomb with a normal TNT, you get the 'A-TNT bomb' which covers 15 blocks. When you combine the A-Mini bomb with the Stormbomb, you get a bomb that covers 22 blocks and lights things on fire. When you combine the Stormbomb and the A-TNT bomb, you get a bomb named 'A-StormTNT' which covers 25 blocks and lights the surrounding things on fire.
Silver: Uncommon but not rare mineral that is bad generally, but as good as diamond against zombies. (I know it should be werewolves, but we don't have werewolves do we?)
Bonurim: Uncommon but not rare mineral that is bad generally, but as good as diamond against skeletons.
Spidersbane: A material rarer than Silver and Bonurim, that is bad generally but as good as diamond against spiders. It is rarer than Bonurim and Silver for this reason: When combined with Iron it creates Poisiron, which has a chance of having a critical hit which can kill any creature in one hit. When combined with other minerals, it has the same effect, like for Mithril its Poisthril, and for Adamantine its Poistine. All these poison materials have the critical hit chance.
Nulantifier: A material rarer than Silver and Bonurim, but not as rare as Spidersbane. It is not good generally but as effective as diamond against creepers. Its a bit rarer than Silver and Bonurim for this reason: When you get a hit on a creeper, it prevents the creeper for blowing up for 3 seconds. So if you hit it 3 times, the creeper can't blow up for 9 seconds, which leaves you time to kill it or escape.
Notchanum: Rarer than adamantine, and like 25% percent better than it. When combined with Mythatine, it creates the best material in the game. Notchythatine.
Notchythatine: Best material in the game. It breaks through materials in a little below a second, and has such a high durability that if you gain some of it and make it into a pick, that one pick would last you as long as one 999 stack of diamond picks. When you are wielding one item made of it, you can spend 15 seconds in magma without getting injured. With two items, that time is 30 seconds, and so on. When combined with A-StormTNT, it creates an item named A-StormNotch, which covers 50 blocks, lights the surrounding things on fire, and should be used at your own risk.

Who's your drug dealer? I want what you're on.
But in all seriousness... seriously? You could at least try to not be ridiculous. We don't need that many stronger materials. After the first few you list, the rest get progressively funnier.

Then whats this?
EDIT: Or emit enough radiation that would "damage" your health over a short period.
Well here, let me cram some uranium up your cramhole and see if that damages your health :tongue.gif: It sure would damage my health and/or rectum.
Yes, yes it is :tongue.gif:
