Don't you hate it when you die, you lose your hard-earned diamonds, iron and gold and experience?
Here's the changes.
Peaceful: No experience and items loss on death. Easy: You lose half of experience and items on death. Normal & Hard: You lose all of your experience and items on death.
The fact is that there is going to be a command rule you can set to allow players to keep items upon death. So there really isn't any need for it when eventually you will be able to control whether you lose items or not anyways.

As for the suggestion, nah. It devalues death completely.

Curse PremiumSneaky edit to the OP. Anyways, it makes sense on Peaceful (sort of), but still- Easy is incredibly hard to die in.
