how do pigmen have gold?
how do villagers have emeralds?
how do zombies have iron?
how do creepers have music discs?
how do you eat spider eyes?
how do you make a portal with volcanic glass?
how are there giant jellyfish babies in hell?
how are iron golems made from pumpkins?
how does crafting exist?
how do you punch wood?
minecraft doesn't make sense, period.
we don't need to implement dozens of features into the game to explain every single feature.
how do pigmen have gold? Exactly why this thread was created.
how do villagers have emeralds? Because it's their currency. They probably mined it in the mineshafts and abandoned them because of the cave spiders.
how do zombies have iron? They died with the iron on their person.
how do creepers have music discs? It's a hobby.
how do you eat spider eyes? With your mouth.
how do you make a portal with volcanic glass? Magic. *snort snort*
how are there giant jellyfish babies in hell? They're just inhabitants. Why are there humans on Earth?
how are iron golems made from pumpkins? That's a good question. It's simpler to use pumpkins than make a "golem head" block for golems. Plus, the code was already in place for snow golems. In-universe, it's kind of out of place, but possibly pumpkins have life-giving powers.
how does crafting exist? Does that really need an answer? Humans have used tools since prehistory, and Steve and the Testificates are no exception.
how do you punch wood? With a fist.
Yeah, only two things of those don't really have answers
Either way, it would give me more of a reason to go to the Nether. Nether-gold would have to be uncommon, but I support this.

Did something happen to you in your childhood to give you this unreasonable fear of rutabaga?
@Kholdstare, your answers were all sarcastic or completely obvious and didn't provide any actual explanation for any of the questions.
("oh how do you do this one: 2+5?" "hurr durr with addition of course" "you don't say?")
I personally would like gold to be an Overworld-only ore, since it doesn't really match the theme of the Nether.
How about there be a Nether Ore that drops a Blood Crystal or something?
But truthfully, I want Nether to be ore-free.
And here's a possible explanation for pigmen having gold: maybe the Zombie Pigmen traveled between the Nether and the Overworld to transport the riches into their home dimension. ('cause zombie pigmen walk out of portals)

I don't understand this. I think it would be awesome to have multiple dimensions that are completely different, but all habitable. I can't see any downside to that. Although, I suppose then half the forums would rage for years about changing the Nether. Example:

O MAI GAWD Y U NO LEEVE NETHER THE WAY IT WAS LIEK CUM ON GUYS U SUCK!!!111!!!11one!!
(For the fake quote I just put a bunch of 9's after timestamp and post.)
I support the idea of gold in the nether for the simple reason that explains how Pigman got their gold and that gold is a mostly novelty thing so having more gold will not break gameplay. If Pigman drops and the ability to mine gold ores is redundant then make gold ores rare.

Either way, they should just spawn in the Nether as an ore, but never exposed (or just spawn rarely.
Iron Ingots? I think you mean gold, one, and 2, the ingots are a rare drop. It's usually nuggets, which you need 9 of for a single ingot.
WHAT?!
Danger zone.
