just wanted to say that there may be a more ...proper? use of some metals as gold in creating rings and maybe put a diamond or an emerald on top of that ring? i dunno sounds great to me oh and they'd be able to be enchanted and maybe add some more accessories as in (glasses , shoes , sandals , caps ) for example you'd be able to create sandals of leather make caps of leather too but they'd be normal helm and shoe without the (yet to be created) needle and thread? oh and maybe add cotton plants for clothes maybe make em color-able ? i dunno i just wanted to say that and leave the rest to u guys
Cobalt: maybe i didnt clarify .... i suggested making a accesseroies Slot For Extra
Prince: i do xD but thats just for shape i hate to have tons of gold and iron without stuff to make with em (Useful Stuff)
I've been thinking about something like this for a while as well. @Cobalt, Other than another slot or two for these enchanted accessories, it helps make room for more passive buffs that might not fit onto armor. Or if a person doesn't like wearing armor they can still recieve some enchantment buffs.
Also gold has the highest percentage of enchantability but making gold armor or swords that break easily feels like a bit of a waste since enchanted tools cannot be repaired at the moment.
I figure to keep it balanced a player can equip up to two accessories. Any more than that and they become godly. Some passive buffs that will work on a ring but not on armor would be as follows:
Fasting - Slows down the rate of hunger
Jumping - an extra block or two
Poison resist - % chance for not being poisoned
And it could also have Feather for fall damage and Underwater breathing freeing space for the boots and helmet respectively for more useful armor related enchantments.
I just don't think that accessories should be shown on the Player (like glasses or pants or whatever) because some people may prefer their skins. Could be a togglable option, though.
Maybe they could have enchantments. The enchantments on a ring can be any enchantments, and stack with others. A ring with protection I will absorb some damage to the durability of the ring. A ring with fortune I will boost the level of any fortune used, and give the effect of fortune I to all items used. A ring with sharpness I will give sharpness to your fist/item in hand, stacking with whatever is already there. A ring with infinity will prevent any arrows from being consumed, by any bow.
Rings are very unenchantable, having a maximum level of one on most enchantments, and only one enchantment per ring. Diamond rings are slightly more enchantable. Only one enchnated ring can be worn at a time.
