Not sure if this has been suggested already, but I didn't see it on the list so here goes:
Mob biomes. By mob biomes I mean rare (probably small) biomes would be like the mob's homeland kind of. If a whole biome would be too big, it could be something like a NPC village. There would be buildings that would relate to the specific mob the biome is based off, for instance a graveyard for skeletons, maybe a deserted breaking-down npc village for zombies. These places would obviously have many of the specific mobs in them. But the cool part of these places would be that they would bring a little backstory about the mobs. These places would have signs, or maybe a Book and Quill hidden somewhere that would give information about the monster, like how it attacks or even the backstory of the mob. That way, mobs would be more interesting that just monsters that attack you.
I'm not really good at explaining things, but you probably get the idea.
Those would actually be mob-specific structures, and not biomes. Some of them are interesting, but the part about finding written books about the mobs would be really pointless.

Hey, you there. Yes, you! Are you thinking about posting a suggestion on the forums anytime soon? If so, please read this before doing so.

Why would it be pointless? I feel that the mobs right now are just boring enemies that die if you hit them enough times, and that this would be a fun way to get more information about them, and make them a more of a part of the minecraft world.

Actually, forget I said that. In the books that have writings and info on the enemies... Is the info how the enemies came to exist? Or is it just tips & hints on how to beat them? Or both?

You could add biomes, then have custom structures spawn only in those biomes.
If that's the case, he'd need to describe the biomes and not just the structures in them. Villagers and Silverfish already have their own areas, Endermen have their own dimension and most hostile mobs have their own areas if you count the dungeons and spawners. I'm not bashing the idea, but I think there's enough mob-specific areas in the game. The graveyard one could be badass if done right, though.
