I completely agree with everything the op has said. Although, bows should hav some sort of delay between shots. Firing 20 arrows at a guy who has to MANUALLY reload his shots is overpowering.
In my opinion, Minecraft is't themed after any specific time period, but rather what one man can reasonably build on a deserted island. Therefore guns should be theoretically possible, but very time consuming, expensive, and difficult to make.

That was just the most descriptive one I've ever seen. Theres probably others, he really doesn't seem to like guns.

well, this depends on what you want.
liek, if you want something like
then you might have some luck later on, in the full game.
but if you want
then you are better off with a texture pack.
