I woke up this morning for whatever reason thinking about new minecraft enchantments. Im thinking that there should be a new one that should be called knowledge.
This can be available on : Sword
Knowledge can only be lvl : 1
It is possible to obtain on levels : 20 - 30
What it does : Basically, if you get this enchantment on your sword, an then you kill someone or something with that sword it will drop more XP than it really is suppose to have.
Whoever looks at this post can choose how much more XP u get.I thaught this would be a really cool enchantment to get on your sword.
Sounds like a very good an simple idea. Hopefully it would work out that before the tool broke you would get the xp you paid for the item back and extra xp on top of that.
Just like an experience booster. It would probably be better on lower level enchantments, with smaller increases, such as at level 1 you get %1.1 normal xp, and at level 4 it's around %1.75 normal xp. the enchantment level I suggest would be 6-8 and up.

Enchantments should never let you make a profit. So make sure not to boost XP gain too much...
I'm not sure what you're trying to get at here. Do you not profit greatly from the fortune or looting enchants? Take a iron blade of looting and iron golems, for example.

It should give Xp in small amounts and not give you it too commonly. By not make a profit he probably meant don't let it ever make close enough to get another one, because then people can multiply their Xp.
Side note, it should be possible with possible with the pick axe like everyone said, and it should be lvl 25-30 to make it more valueble and rare

I can see your mode of thinking, but by this limit you have set, this enchantment would be worthless. If I cannot "Profit", this enchantment is literally a waste of levels. I spend 20 on the enchant, get 18 back, i just gave up 2 levels for no reason. I spend 20 levels, and then get 30 back? Well then the enchantment is worth it. Keep in mind I would still have to kill several monsters to actually make this profit.

You wont "multiply" your xp. You would have to get 20 levels, just happen to get the knowledge enchantment, and then instantly kill 500-750 monsters to use up the sword. Oh and then after that get the exact same enchantment again. It's not going to be some overpowered xp gain.

You wont "multiply" your xp. You would have to get 20 levels, just happen to get the knowledge enchantment, and then instantly kill 500-750 monsters to use up the sword. Oh and then after that get the exact same enchantment again. It's not going to be some overpowered xp gain.
