+Snow in a snow biome is plentiful. Natural snow has a use, and it is to make more snow. But why not make a new use for this clearly abundent stuff?
I was thinking that snow could cushion falls. Somewhere around the range of decreasing the fall damage by 1 heart. For the snow block, since there is more snow, it could reduce fall damage by 2 or 3 hearts...
+Wolves are very useful in the game and can be hard to find. In real life, wolves howl, not bark like they do in the game.
You can keep the bark, but when out far distances away from the "wolves", as long as you are in render distance, howl, like a wolf would do. This would make it easier to find them and it would add a realism feel to the "wolves".
Wolf howls has been suggested before, but I like the idea of snow (at least whole snow blocks) cushioning falls somewhat . Even though that, too, has probably been suggested before .
I agree wholeheartedly, though, snow should have more uses. Always fancied the ability to make snow lanterns myself. https://www.google.n...VE8eF4gS84YHoCw
It'd be a block that gave off light and looked kinda "cozy". Recipe would be a torch and snowballs.
Can't really think of anything else. Except maybe if snow blocks were a "soft" material that you could sprint through (if you arranged them on top of one another like a wall) or drive minecarts through. Would be interesting for adventure maps.

I did a quick search, but I didnt notice anything, about the wolves and snow that is.
With the snow lanterns, wouldn't the torch melt the snow?
Wolves should howls when they are not tammed and when they are tammed they should bark because they are suppose to be like dogs. I like the idea though.
Snow should not cushion falls because there are many other ways to cushion falls already.

Let me know what you think.

I support gas pockets in MC (see thread in Suggestions)!

You would just fall straight through instead.
But then again, falling from 400 feet in the air into a body of water will probably burst your eardrums and instantly kill you...
