I've had this idea in my head for a while now, sure other people have thought of something similar. Here goes:
As you all know, Ocean biomes are fairly devoid of content except the occasional Squid. BORING. What could we do to spice it up?
WHALES.
The way I imagine them working is thus: rare creatures, maybe only one or two per Ocean. They'd be quite large, maybe 20 blocks long, maybe even longer. I'd guess, due to their large size, they'd have ~60 health (30 Hearts). Their large size and speed makes them only pursuable practically in Boats. Maybe we could even have Harpoons to hunt them with! o; They could drop several blocks of blubber, which could be refined into Oil, a light source as well as Furnace fuel. Maybe something different, this is somewhat redundant due to Coal being able to be used as a fuel and Torches. A lot more efficient and brighter flame than Torches and Coal?
Any suggestions for how to make these better/an alternative, would be appreciated for posting.
