hi since we got our nice book writing add on, why not allow players to make a Book that has their maps in it!!! this way we won't have to carry 10+ maps when we have a massive empire XD
so you get a book that has map pages in it instead of writing
what do you guys think!! it would be a great way to "store" all those maps we end up having !!!
so basically we make a book with the quill thingy... so far so good... THEN we have a little extra option besides name the book and write in it... this option is:
attach maps... once you do this the book becomes an "atlas" of sorts, which means you can add map pages to it and name them...this way you can have a book that has lets say 100+ maps in it and it auto turns to the map 'section" the player is in!!
I know that the OP wasn't Shakespeare, but c'mon, it's not like it was indecipherable! The idea is to use writeable books in order to store maps. It would actually be very useful, especially if you could add text with maps, so you could include notes on landmarks, places of interest, and directions on how to get to specific locations (such as how to open a secret door in the big tree by the lake).
Maps could use a lot of work. I would like it if the first map made was centered at your location, and then every map crafted after that was perfectly tiled. Meaning the map is either exactly the same, or there is no overlap. That way you don't have to travel 1000 to begin every tile of map. Oh and map paintings.
