Since there is the nether and the end, which is basically living hell for some of us. I had an idea for another world that is like the opposite of the end. I was thinking something like an Atlantis world! An underwater world with treasure somewhere in the world, but it is guarded by a big sea monster! and maybe have NPC villages, except the villagers are mermaids and they have tridents! Seems far fetched I know, but why not suggest it?
How will we breath? How will it be reached? What are the statistics of the Monster? What are the name of the blocks/mobs? Answering these guiding questions help describing the idea to the audience.
To breath, you would have to make a scuba suit, which would be added to make it better and more realistic. To reach it, you would have to make a portal, kind of like an Aether portal, except it takes you underwater. I was thinking make the frame of the portal with glass and pour a bucket of water into it to activate it. For the monster, I was thinking either a giant squid or some Loch Ness monster type thing. It would be gigantic sized, around the size of the ender dragon. It would have the health of the ender dragon so its pretty durable. But the attacks would be not as severe, but more rapid than the ender dragon. In this world here are some of the blocks i was thinking could be there: Coral would be on the ground of Atlantis/ water world, the ground would be sand. I was thinking add sponge back to the game, but it is sort of rare and can be found only Atlantis. There would also be a special kind of torch to light your way in the depths, I was thinking kind of like a glowstick type thing, so it works underwater. For mobs there would be squid like always, I was also thinking crabs that walk on the ground like silverfish. I was also thinking there could be dolphins and sharks. And I was thinking for the NPC's, they could be mermaid type, and each villager has 1-3 warriors that have tridents. I would make them about twice the size of the player and make them passive unless attacked. And their houses would be made out of blocks such as iron gold and diamond blocks. But you can't harvest them unless you beat the monster.
To breath, you would have to make a scuba suit, which would be added to make it better and more realistic. This is the part where I go "a scuba suit doesn't fit the game", but this makes a lot of sense. It does kinda ruin the "Respiration" enchantment for helmets though, but an enchanted helmet doesn't help in Atlantis.
To reach it, you would have to make a portal, kind of like an Aether portal, except it takes you underwater. I was thinking make the frame of the portal with glass and pour a bucket of water into it to activate it. Nah, make the portal more costly. This glass portal is unspeakably easy to make. Notice how the Nether and End portals take a lot more effort to make - the End portal for sure, at least.
For the monster, I was thinking either a giant squid or some Loch Ness monster type thing. It would be gigantic sized, around the size of the ender dragon. It would have the health of the ender dragon so its pretty durable. But the attacks would be not as severe, but more rapid than the ender dragon. I like it. I couldn't imagine fighting any other... thing.

I was thinking add sponge back to the game, but it is sort of rare and can be found only Atlantis. There would also be a special kind of torch to light your way in the depths, I was thinking kind of like a glowstick type thing, so it works underwater. All are clever and creative.

And I was thinking for the NPC's, they could be mermaid type, and each villager has 1-3 warriors that have tridents. I would make them about twice the size of the player and make them passive unless attacked. The crabs, dolphins and sharks are alright, but I think more unusual mobs should exist here to keep that Minecraft trademark. You know what I mean by unusual mobs: Creepers, Endermen, Slimes, anything in the Nether, etc. The mermaid Villagers is well thought out, but I think any kind of interaction and trading should stick with the Overworld.
And their houses would be made out of blocks such as iron gold and diamond blocks. But you can't harvest them unless you beat the monster. Yeah... This part is so overpowered that just thinking about it can make your balls painfully vibrate. All it would take is to defeat this monster once, and you got nearly countlessamountsof iron, gold and diamond.

Hey, you there. Yes, you! Are you thinking about posting a suggestion on the forums anytime soon? If so, please read this before doing so.
Ok let me revise it to your critics a bit. To survive under the water, I say add water enchantments that let you breath under water. So you don't have to add scuba suits, and it keeps helmets, just another enchantment. The portal could be made of Lapiz blocks, and it takes 14 of them, you can't take the 10 short cut. So it makes it more challenging, in a way, and a fire ball can only light it. For the odd part now, you can't trade underwater. There are squidmen! Kind of like pigmen except they are men with tentacles! and another could be sting rays or floating bomb hazards like in Finding Nemo. And to mine a village. You would have to defeat 3 monsters to mine ONE village. So that means if you beat the monster, you get out, and go through the portal again so another is there.
