no, the gryphons thread fits minecraft, is well balanced and isn't cliche and overdone, if any more dragons are added, they should not be tamable and shouldn't be the traditional dragon that most people suggest.
Why do gryphons fit and not dragons? And why shouldn't traditional dragons be added. And for the last time, there is no point in a non-tamable dragon! We already have one- the Ender dragon!

Awesome idea and MAJOR support to this idea only my only suggestion is what would eb cool is the fire shooting should take a firecharge and the star dragon should be blown up by a wither because, quite frankly infinite health by a ghast is a bit OP and dragon armor would also be pretty cool
I don't think tameable dragons fit. it would be very cool to fly around on a pet dragon but it would make one player have more power over another player. lets say me and others who own dragons team against everyone else who does not have one. it would be over kill! i think gryphons would be better because in my own theory would not be over powered and just used as a means of transport.

What are people on horses, then? No matter what you do, you can never stop someone with diamond armor and a sword from killing noobs. Horses are like dragons, except dragons fly. And that gives you practically less of an advantage because you can't hit them with a sword, while they can shoot you with a bow.
Wait, wha...? I thought this thread was started by some guy named Bocaj....

Wait, wha...? I thought this thread was started by some guy named Bocaj....
I used my one in 3650 day name change.
BTW I don't know if it is a bug or not, but when you change your name, it tells you you can change your name once every 3650 days. Does it mean 365?
yes, but we not only don't need any tameable ones, the gryphons thread actually balances flight, your suggestion makes no effort to make it balanced at all, the very act of flight means it is overpowered and needs heavy nerfs and weaknesses, none of which you suggest or attempt to make, and if you did give them weaknesses, it would be out of place for dragons to be weak.
and the enderdragon egg should not be involved with having another enderdragon, even though it doesn't damage stuff, it is unbalanced because only ONE player can ever have it.
and this thread puts way beyond too much focus on dragons, there would only be one dragon type, and the nether star.... even taming the dragons make no sense, it just seems you thought of random stuff to try and make them hard to get, regardless of it it makes sense at all.
we don't need tameable dragons, and there is no real way to properly balance them if they are, because while it makes sense that small gryphons can't fly expertly with a player on their back, dragons have no reason to have such a limit.
You have no idea whatsoever about balance. You gain no OP abilities on the dragons, because it is hard to attack someone while on a dragon. But it's easy to use a bow from the ground and shoot up at the dragon. Remember, the underside is its weakness.
And about the clump of text, that wasn't me. While I was editing the thread and I saves it, some glitch removed all the formatting. I'm fixing it as we speak.
And last, gryphons are stupid. There is no need to fly in Minecraft. And the gryphon is too small to carry a player on its back. Sure, the flying mechanic is good, but he copied it from the Aether mod.
The dragons, however, are like a tank. Dragons do not tire in five seconds, they breath fire, are incredibly strong, and smart. There is no way to make these aspects non-OP without it not being a real dragon.By tank I mean armored, not powerful.
I really enjoy the idea, and support it 99%. I actually came up with something very alike to this with my cousin. 1%: Make the lairs deeper and larger. A dragon would like some privacy, not a hole right next to the surface.
I think that if these dragons are to be added, then the ender dragon will need improving first. At the moment, it's quite a pathetic fight. It spends more time flying around than attacking, and rather than doing anything interesting like shooting fireballs and landing on the ground to bite you, it just head-butts you then runs away again. If it where improved, it would open up a nice space in the game for these dragons.
As for your dragons, I definitely support the idea. But how would they spawn? Would it be a case of 1 lair = 1 dragon, or would it be like a witch hut, in that dragons can only spawn in that lair, and have a very, very rare chance of spawning whenever the right conditions are met (such as light level, space ect) so that multiple dragons can come from one lair if you are willing to wait around?
Yes I agree, the Ender Dragon needs to be fixed up.
And the dragons only spawn once per lair.
Thanks! And finally, here is the question you all have been asking for- What dragons should I keep, and which ones should I remove?
