This is just an idea, I'm not sure if it has been metioned before but I think notch should add these mobs to the nether:
NetherDogs: Netherdogs, based off of hellhounds, would be agressive and territorial. If two of them got together they would fight to the death. Because of this you would (hopefully) only battle one at a time. They would be super fast and hurt a good amount (3-4 hearts) but very easy to kill if you just hit them repeatedmy with your sword. Upon death they would cast a 3X3 ring of fire where they died with a 1x1 square that would contain there drop (rotten flesh and fire chagres?) They would be mostly black with some dark red to look like somewhat cooled lava. They would be as tall as the player and two squares long.
GlowMoths: This would be a passive mob somewhat resembling the qualities of the smallest slime. It would spawn near glowstone and when you get close enough to it, it will fly over to you and nudge you, trying to push you away. A simple punch will kill it and i can't to any real damage. Some glowstone blocks will act as silverfish blocks, when you break one of this glowstone a glowmoth with fly out at you and more of them will come out of other glowstone. They will swarm you and obscure your vision but no real damage can be done from these aside from pushing you off a cliff They would be very small and there textures would resemble glowstone. They would give off about as much light as a torch and can be captured in a glass bottle to make a lanturn. This when held in your hand will slowly run out, but act as a torch you can carry.
FireGolems: This would be a more simple mob. It wouldnt attack you but light you on fire if you touch it. It can be made by making a iron golem in the nether. The iron would melt and turn his body into lava. He would look basicly the same but with the lava texture and lava dripping from him. He will fallow you around in the nether and attack at any enemy that you encounter. It will easily kill pigmen, and if a ghast or blaze gets close enough it will jumo on them and punch them to death. The fire golem will eventully burn out and leave behind a block of lava, however while it is alive it kills mobs just as a normal golem would but with extra strength. It would be a complete body gaurd of the nether.

Putting the prefix on "Nether" mobs itself is uncreative. It's not that bad of a mob, but doesn't sound very exciting either.

This just comes down to Slimes and Silverfish being mashed together, but can fly. Some of us are stuck with map seeds that leave much needed Glowstone hanging over lava. After players spend 2-3 minutes making a L-shaped bridge to get to it, we could do without these little GlowMoths pushing us around and screwing with our vision.

This is nothing more than an Iron Golem with a few overpowered upgrades and can be set on fire.

But I agree with this guy. Either they should spawn naturally, or be more expensive
