Beds are a bit overpowered in survival mode to but in hardcore its way overpowered you can just skip the night even out side! you take a bed place it on a tree and sleep in it(right when it turns night) no mobs get you i think there should be no beds in hardcore. Don't say by that logic you can't make a house in hardcore. Remember zombies bash down doors and with beds you skip the zombie siege. So i think no beds in hardcore.
...Overpowered? Why? Because they change your spawn point? What's the big deal there? Don't you want to spawn in your own house when you get killed in the middle of the night, instead of spawning outside somewhere only to be killed again?

Nothing personal, but with your broken and run-on sentence structure, you risk bogging your suggestion down. Putting a bed on a tree is overpowered? What about putting it in your well-built house? It'd be nice to spawn in a safe place before you make the trek to get your items back. It's very clear you didn't think this out.
Just because you don't want beds in Hardcore, doesn't mean the rest of the planet does. Just don't bother making a bed then.

I don't think you're in any position to argue about logic. You could manage to find 100 diamonds and lose it all and your world forever by one simple death in Hardcore, so there's no big need strip beds away. Some people just want to skip the long nights. You can still avoid zombies breaking your doors by making your house a few blocks off the ground. No support.
There is absolutely no reason to remove beds. They exist simply to reduce the tedium of sitting in your house doing nothing whatsoever. Beds don't make you more powerful or give you anything new.
If they provided healing or some kind of buff, I might see where you're coming from. In their current state, though, they're perfectly fine.

1.) Either stay inside bored for the whole night cycle and then have to risk creeper ambush once you go out at daytime.
2.) Get killed much too easily by accident or by multiple mobs over powering you.
Though if there were a thread for beds only working in a "house" I would consider supporting that.
