Hello Everyone! I think there should be more than just stone in Minecraft, so I have a good idea!
Blocks:
Limestone - Found in the ocean only. It has a pale color and looks similar to stone.
Marble - Obtainable when limestone is cooked in a furnace. It has a white color and looks like cobblestone.
Basalt - Found in caves. It is a dark grey color and looks like obsidian.
These are just my ideas. Maybe they will be added to the game, but I am not expecting that to happen.
Limestone, I have always supported as ocean floors. But I don't like the way you chose to obtain marble. I know it makes scientific sense (I think) but it just doesn't seem right.
I agree about the marble, maybe it can be found in caves like in Technic Pack.
What original and special properties does the Limestone, Marble and Basalt have? There's no reason to write lines of code to add 3 new stones just for decoration.

Okay, then, no need for sandstone, bricks, or clay either then.
I would support more building blocks. Different stone types would be nice, as the greyish stone we find right now gets boring after a while. Perhaps there could be a set of stone blocks of different colors that appear in different areas (to encourage exploration)?
Why add the plank colours? New decoration blocks are always welcome. ALWAYS.
Well, wood is insanely easy to get, and the number of trees in the game are overwhelming. The different plank colors add a new type of decoration to houses and doesn't harm the balance of anything because of how easy it is to get to a tree (including a tree type of your choice).
These new stone ideas aren't bad, but caves seem to be more about getting resources and not decorative things (with the exception of Lapis). I just thought these new stones should have some more use to them so there's more initiative to find them.

What are the Purpose?
What are the Uses?
etc.

That statement isn't going to work. If Sandstone, Bricks and Clay are only used for decoration, why add 3 more?
